To bad with the Haniball, that was a hard-working plane.
Everytime I'm getting into discussions regarding anything to do with aviation, your name pops up in my head, funny.....

Take care, and have a nice vacation, where ever you go...

Has anybody informations about the progress of private aviation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ? I heard about a new flying club and pilot school in Jeddah and intentions to open up a flying club in Dammam, but its difficult to get any informations. I am private pilot with instrument and instructor rating (german and U.S.) and looking for a chance to get into an aircraft.

I once landed south at the airport and turned off at the first taxiway on the right from the end of the runway. Pretty good for an F86, (about 1300feet). I had the canopy open and dragged it in at 95knots. DUKE

Enjoyed your site - sorry to hear you have interference problems, that's why we mostly fly our camera planes out in the mountains or over rivers these days! Seems we have a mutual interest in airborne video,'Hugh and I produced three productions some years ago called AIRBORNE VIDEOS. Our largest plane is the Phoenix, wing span 14 feet, for video/stills and film cameras. Have a look at our website. Yours was recomended to us by a fellow pilot. Cheers. Adrian and Hugh. Q: Interested in the airborne goggles - cool!

Ron,I really enjoyed your website, especially the Compache. I flew Apaches for 16 years including a tour in Saudia Arabia/Iraq back in 90/91. I visited Dhahran many times and remember visiting a compound similar to yours (British contractors hired to maintain Saudi Tornados). I almost ended up in Kawait last month but decided to call it quits instead.
I'm currently flying a Raptor 30 and various planks, do you have anymore footage of your Compache firing the missiles? Thanks -Tip

Nice web site, and well done with the GPStoFS fprogram
I have been interested for some time in the possiblity of "replaying" actual flights using FS2000/2002 - taking GPS logged data, perhaps using simple algoriths for attitude, and creating a file suitable for reading by FS2000.
Have you worked on this, or do you know of anyone who has?

Hey,
I love your site sir. Im just starting to get interested in the hobby of rc plane flying.
I own a Kadet Mark 2. It may not be great but i think its considered a trainer.
All i need for it is the remote and engine. Do you recomend any brand of remotes or engines? I dont make very much money so they'll have to be the middle or cheaper models. The manuel says i need a .25-.40 cu. in. 2-stroke engine. and a 4 channel remote. If you could help it would mean alot to me.
Thanks,

I was surfing the web looking for some new sims to dwnld and came across your site. I must say that this site is quite interesting as I for one am into R/C aircraft, but due to an illness about five years ago am quite short on working capital to be able to fly. I like flying R/C and had at one time two heli's and four fixed wing and one sailplane. The hobby is very expensive and sometimes time comsuming. I'm not able to keep up like I want to.

Hello to you:-)
I can imagine that it's not been easier to get the equipments for your hobby, today, as it was in 1975, when I was in Jedda.

I was there for 1 month, had a contract with Saudi A. Airlines, but due to the fact that it was impossible to get an accomodeion I went back to Denmark. It was an experience that I wouldn't have been without thou.

I brought my homebuild RC control TX an RX, plus an engine.
The customer looked very surpriced, and called for a superior. I managed to explain what it was. I got it trough the custom, anyway:-)

I was ther in late august, trhough september, and it was hot as H.

How do you cope with the heath? Or is it possible to fly with
your models under those conditions? I don't have to mention, that I never got to building anything, or flying when I was there. If you go to my homepage, you will find that the site is in the danish language, but you should be able to see the warious models, by click'in on the imagigies.

I hope yuou will have a good time, in Sadia.

Best regards

I came across your amazing simulation while I was going through all the links for "games lunar lander." Back in college I had spent a great deal of time using a time-share computer system to play a crude lunar lander game based on the PDP8 version. I have forever been looking for that game, as well as others. Yours, without doubt, is the most realistic and thrilling version I have ever seen or played. I just want you to know that I appreciate what you've done. You've given me, and I am looking forward to, countless hours of exciting simulation play.

Thank you.

Aren't you risking yourself? as far as I remember, they don't like us that much, and I don't know how they react to these kind of jokes...:) (would like to know-if you care to share...).

Loved the Eagle One Lander. I would gladly pay for your sim once you have taken it a little farther. More interaction and detail in the cockpit, actual simulation of moon gravity on surface exploration, maybe a moon buggy, lift-off from the surface and docking with the Command Module. You have a great start and I hope you pursue it farther. Iam also a big r\c fan. Love your helo. I fly a lot of helo sims. Flew controlled line planes when I was younger. Wish I had someone in my area to learn from. From what I have read the extemely difficult art of flying r\c helos is hard to learn and vitually impossible to be self- taught unless you have deep pockets for repairs. Thanks again for the fun Lunar Lander.

Hi Ron found your site while looking for decalpaper.I noticed that you had found a metalic decal atZ-weckform,i tried to locate same myself without success. Like your site./and the flying site .I worked in Saudi myself on many occasions . I was a training engineer with Simon. A Brit fire truck company . I have covered most aspects of the model scene. still enjoy most but ano-domini limits it alittle. I enjoyed great success in the late sixties early seventies flying r/c aerobatics . usualy in the top ten or there abouts .Plus many shows across U/k and France. Had good succes in class 2 scale as well. I apreciate your difficulties re obtaining goods . it was always difficult carrying equipement to train THEIR guys. I had a friend working for ARAMCO who was killed back in
the Eighties when his Saudi driver drove off the edge into
a wadi near where you're located. As a private pilot, you
might want to check out X-Plane at as it's
the best flight simulator ever built (for true flight) if
you don't mind the lack of truly good scenery, as in MS2002
or whatever. I enjoy having visited your site and will
probably return.

I was doing some research ont he Apche helicopter and came across your site. I friend of mine just returned from Saudi where he was a pysician tot he Royal family for a few years, actually I ahve two friends there. (Ken Dahl and Conway Brewerton). Anyways I found your site fascinating. It never ceases to amaze me how the internet has broadened my perspective. I found your model of the Gemeni fascinating as I have built models of space vehicle for years (since I was a wee lad). I have also delved into the R/C genre a few times but due to 2 unsuccesful "self-taught" flying lessongs I have stuck with building for other people, thought, even that has taken a back seat to earning money lately. Anyways, I enjoyed your site and wish you and your family the best of luck. Thank you for an enjoyable half and hour on this snow-covered Tuesday. (You do know a what snow is don't you? I admire the inovation you guys display in keeping the hobby alive in KSA, luckily we don't have to many problems overhere, what with 4 model shops in dubai alone. The major obstacle we face right now is the lack of a Tarmac runway (which we are working on), the sand plays havoc on scale wheel pants. A 1/4 scale Extra 300 looks a bit spazy without the scale wheel pants, kind of defeats the purpose of the word "scale".

I am also the webmaster of the website in the URL above, and have quite a bit of stuff of interest. I love the Simulator you have done, could I feature it on the site ?

By the way I have done a menu system that works in Netscape, I have'nt put it on my site yet, dont have time right now, but i can pass it on to you if you are interested. I will put a link to your site.

Hi,
first of all a big "THANK YOU" for the Eagle 3D simulation. I´ve been looking for such a simulation for over 2 years now and you offerd it. I´m really content with this simulation. But I have a question. Are you going to programm something with the Command Module? For example docking to the LEM or something like that? That would be great if you do so. OK I hope to get a answer soon.
Sincerly yours

PS: If you know a simulation with the CM it would be great if you can name it to me.

Fascinating site and well designed. Congratulations. I stumbled on it from a thread on RCO about shooting missiles from rc a/c, and ended up spending a lot of time there.

I just inherited our website www.flyingcardinals.org which hadn't been updated in 2 years, so always looking for ideas for dummies. :)

Best wishes,

I like this site, very good design. I came on the eagle landing link from Space.com and stayed a while browsing through. My brother in law sells radio active controlled planes in England and now I see how it can be a great hobby from your pictures! I also like the Gemini 4 model- I'm old enough to remember how exciting it all was- I couldn't get the lander to work though, it wanted to update files and then nothing but it's a great idea.

Hi, as a fellow RC modeler, I think you have one Awesome site going on here! You have some really great looking planes and the plane being flown with the camera, well that is beyond cool. Great stuff!
